Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Storm von Walker is a handsome 3 year old black and tan plush coated German Shepherd with a wonderful personality. He loves all people, is great with dogs and currently lives in a foster home with four other dogs who are all comfortable with him. He is not overly dominant or submissive and likes to play with them. He also loves to fetch. He would make a good companion to an older dog or a younger dog. Storm is curious about the two cats that also share his foster home and has a tendency to want to chase the kitties, so a home without kitties might be better. Storm knows sit, down, come, outside, no, leave it, and other basic commands. He is housebroken and is very relaxed in the home. Storm is not destructive and has not chewed on the blankets or other items in the house. His foster family says that he is also one of the quietest dogs they've ever had the pleasure of fostering - you rarely he him bark! Storm is crate and kennel trained - he actually loves his crate and kennel and walks in on command and immediately relaxes. He is also an excellent traveler and loves to go for car rides where he can take a long nap. Storm is good on leash and barely pulls - he corrects very easily. Storm is not protective over his food, toys, bones, etc. He currently feeds loose with the other dogs and has been doing very well with respecting their food bowls as well. He is a good eater and he loves carrots in the morning after the other dogs taught him that carrots were wonderful treats. Storm is low to moderate energy and is not hyper. He never whines or gets overly excited. He would make a great walking or running partner. Storm will need a very secure backyard or kennel to stay in when he is alone because we think he might know how to open latches! Storm loves to be hugged, have belly rubs and
to play with his human companions. He never jumps on people and is always very submissive and respectful. Someone obviously spent some time with him and loved him very much. Now he's eager to meet his new forever family!
